BONNE TERRE, Mo. -- The sand will fly Saturday evening at Big River Sand Drags as the track officially opens it's 2005 racing season.
This season the track will once again feature the Competition Eliminator class, Open 4x4 class, Off-Road Modified class, Stock Buggy class and Vehicle ET class to go along with the ATV classes of Super Pro ATV, Pro ATV, ATV-1 and Junior ATV.
There are a number of special events planned for Big River this year including the Missouri Open Invitational (May 28-29); the Driver's Seat Buggy Nationals (June 18th); Summer Sizzler (July 2-3); Midwest Nationals (Sept. 3-4), and the ATV Nationals (Oct. 7-9). There is no MSRA fees this year for racers.
Gates open Saturday at 3 p.m. with time trials beginning at 4 p.m. Registration will end at 6 p.m. with racing starting at 7 p.m. For more information on Big River Sand Drags visit the track's website at: www.bigriversanddrags.com or phone (573) 747-0566.
