You going to a Special this Weekend? If you're not at the Outlaw Motor Speedway and the Joplin 66 Speedway, You just went to another race.
Two tracks, Two States, and Two nights in each town to help celebrate the birth of our Country. Traditionally the skies light up across the Country with bright colors creating awsome visual effects. This year it will be on the land also, as the Drivers of the O'Reilly MLRA AND the O'Reilly NCRA will ignite the track of the Outlaw Motor Speedway for 2 complete shows on Thursday the 3rd and Friday the 4th. The awsome effects will come from names like Alan Vaughn, Al Purkey, Rusty Dukes, Joe Kosiski, Joe Conway, Brandon McCormick, Charlie Randolph, Mike Brown, Raymond Merrill, Daryl Brown and several others as they streak past the grandstands with their colorful 700 horsepower rockets.
Both nights will be complete seperate shows, as after the races Friday a Premier 30 minute Fireworks show is scheduled to celebrate our independence and to help celebrate the first 4th for the newly opened Speedway. Outlaw Motor Speedway is one of Oklahomas nicest racing facilities, as fans and drivers alike agree it should be the model for new tracks everywhere.
Along with the Late Models will be a complete schedule of other classes. So if you want a weekend to celebrate now is the time as over 150 cars are expected both nights, Plus the Fireworks, Plus the Action, It is highly recomended to bring a friend because this much might be just too much for one person to handle. Hot Laps will begin at 6:30 Racing 7:30
The second set of Celebration will be at the Joplin 66 Speedway, a little over a hour away. As on Saturday the 5th it will be the Late Models and the Legends for the Joplin Sports Authority Summer Nationals. Racing with them on Saturday and Sunday will be the support classes as they will too have a field of cars on hand for the fans. Another field of triple digits should keep the fans on the edge all night long.
As the Green Flag will fly for the A Feature, shortly after will be the colors in the sky flying. Both nights Fireworks are featured for everybody. Returning on the second night to finish the Birthday Bash Weekend off, will be another complete night on the 6th, as Sundays Features should be extra "Hot". The Points battle from the O'Reilly MLRA has been extremely close this year with the driving even closer. If you want to celebrate with you're friends this year Joplin 66, will be the place. Racing will be at 6:30 on Saturday and 6:00 on Sunday. See ya there!
