(Brunswick, GA) Officials at Golden Isles Speedway announced today that Winston Cup driver, Bill Elliott would be competing at Golden Isles Speedway on February 2nd for the $10,000 to win final leg of the Lucas Oil Products Late Model Triple Crown Series.

“Bill has committed to running our show at Golden Isles Speedway on February 2nd as long as his Winston Cup test session is not rained out, or the team believes they have had a successful test session on Friday and Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway, “comments Arlene Pittman, owner/promoter of Golden Isles Speedway. “We are very thrilled to have Bill’s commitment to come back to Brunswick, scheduling permitting. Myself, along with Ray Cook and Bill tested together last week here, and we are delighted that Bill will be competing this time,” states Pittman, who also competes on the NASCAR Goody’s Dash Series.

Last week, Bill took time out of his busy schedule to fly down to Golden Isles Speedway with dirt late model driver, Ray Cook for a private test session with Arlene Pittman. Elliott produced very quick speeds behind the wheel of his #9 GRT dirt car.
