(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Billy Moyer recorded his seventeenth feature win of the 2010 campaign on Wednesday night, August 4 at the Shawano Speedway in Shawano, Wisconsin! The World of Outlaws Late Model Series rolled into the 1/2-mile Badger State oval on Wednesday to sanction a $10,000 to win showdown. Billy set a New Track Record during WOOLMS qualifying and later won his heat race in preliminary action. After drawing the outside front row starting spot prior to the A-Main, Billy led all fifty circuits to claim the convincing victory over Brady Smith, Jimmy Mars, Josh Richards, and Shane Clanton!

Following Shawano, the #21 team ventured northwest to the legendary Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin for the annual 'USA Nationals' weekend. On Thursday evening, a $5,000 to win unsanctioned tune-up race was held at CLS. Billy paced the stout field once again during qualifying and later ran second in heat race action. After starting from the outside of the sixth row in the 40-lap feature event, "Mr. Smooth" worked his way up four positions en route to a respectable eighth place effort.

The World of Outlaws Late Model Series was back at it again on Friday and Saturday at Cedar Lake, as the popular touring series sanctioned the 23rd Annual 'USA Nationals.' Billy timed in eleventh fastest during qualifying on Friday, but later got shuffled back to fifth in his stacked heat race. On Saturday, Billy took advantage of a highest finisher provisional from Thursday night and rolled off twenty-sixth on the grid in the $50,000 to win 'USA Nationals.'

In a wild 100-lapper held on a fast and rough racing surface, the Batesville, Arkansas native blitzed through the field to take the lead on lap 60. He then held the point until lap 96 when Scott Bloomquist worked his way by utilizing the bottom groove and Billy was forced to settle for an impressive runner-up performance. "Our week in Wisconsin started off about as good as possible by setting a new track record, winning the heat, and winning the feature at Shawano," quoted Moyer while at sponsor Banner Valley Hauling earlier today. "Then at Cedar Lake, we had a good car all weekend, but we just couldn't close the deal on Saturday. I had visions of possibly starting and parking in the USA Nationals after rolling off last and with the track conditions the way they were (fast and rough), but we started moving up through the field and had a fast car. I was able to avoid a lot of the problems and mechanical failures that others had because of the racing surface and nearly pulled off the win."

Next up for the Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team will be a pair of high-profile events this week in the states of Iowa and Kentucky. An unsanctioned 'Tornado Tuesday' show will kick things off tonight, August 10 at the West Liberty Raceway in West Liberty, Iowa. The special mid-week program boasts a $10,000 top prize. The week will then conclude for the #21 team at the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on Friday and Saturday, August 13-14 with the annual running of the 'North/South 100.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will once again sanction the crown jewel event, which will be headlined by a $50,000 to win, 100-lap main event.
