Batesville, Arkansas (06/24/10) –Billy Moyer Jr. is currently making a full fledge assault on the 2010 UMP Summernationals in his #21jr Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer Chassis/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.

As he continues to compete at many of the tracks on the tour for the first time night after night, Billy has established himself as a contender.

Below is a summary of his recent performances on the tour:

(June 16th, 2010) - Jr. Motorsports entered the first night of the 2010 UMP Summernationals on Wednesday night at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana. A field of 50 Super Late Models entered the $5,000 to win, Hoosier Dirt Classic, and Moyer Jr. started the night by qualifying 4th fastest in his group to earn the fourth starting spot for his heat. He would run in the third spot for pretty much the whole heat as he continually pressured Wendell Wallace for the second spot. He would come up a car length short of the second spot at the finish line, and as a result had to run the b-main, where he started 6th. He would pick up a 4th place finish in the b-main, which earned him the 16th starting spot for the 40 lap feature. He would advance from his 16th starting spot up to the 12th position on lap six, when he had a tire go down. After ducking into the pits, Billy rejoined the back of the back and charged back to a strong 0th place finish by the time that the checkered flag dropped.

(June 17th, 2010) - Thursday night found Billy at Kankakee Speedway in Kankakee, Illinois for another UMP Summernationals event. Forty-eight cars entered the event and Billy transferred to the main event after finishing 4th in his heat race. Via his feature finish, he started 14th in the main event and would work his way to a 10th place finish.

(June 18th, 2010) - Billy made his debut at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin on Friday night for round #3 of the UMP Summernationals. Another stout field of forty-three Super Late Models entered the event, and Billy dug himself a bit of a whole early in the night by qualifying 6th fastest in his group, which resulted in him starting 6th in his heat race. He would find the going difficult in heat action and would only manage a 6th place finish, which sent him to the b-main event. After starting 8th in the b-main, Billy advanced to a 5th place finish, but with only the top two cars transferring, it appeared that he would miss the feature. However, he was able to utilize an UMP Summernationals provisional for the feature to start 19th. During the course of the feature, he would advance five spots to a 14th place finish.

(June 19th, 2010) - Moyer Jr. was back in action at Cedar Lake Speedway on Saturday night for a $10,000 to win, UMP Summernationals event, and for the second straight night, the track would throw him a curve ball. He qualified near the middle of his group, which left him starting midpack in his heat race on a hammer-down track, where passing was difficult. He would fall short of the transfer from his heat race to the feature, and was forced to run the b-main event. The b-main would not treat him any better as he failed to advance to a transfer spot, and his night came to an early end.

(June 20th, 2010) - Billy entered his first ever event at Wilmot Speedway in Wilmot, Wisconsin on Sunday night as 33 entries filed in for the UMP Summernationals event. He quickly figured out the 1/4 mile oval as he blazed to the fast time in his group and went on to win his heat race from the pole. He drew the fourth starting spot in the redraw for the feature, and chased Jeep Van Wormer for the first 19 laps until Van Wormer broke a rear-end. Billy inherited the lead as he worked the low groove, but on lap 23, Rodney Melvin drove by on the high side and went on to take the win as Moyer Jr. finished a strong second.

(June 21st, 2010) - Jr. Motorsports entered the UMP Summernationals event at Vermillion County Speedway in Danville, Illinois on Saturday. Billy would race his way into the 15th starting spot for the $5,000 to win, main event via a fourth place finish in his heat race. After having to go to the tail of the field after an early race tangle with Pete Parker and Greg Johnson, Moyer Jr. would advance to another top ten finish as he crossed the finish line in 10th.

(June 22nd, 2010) - It was a tough night for Billy at Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois on Tuesday night in UMP Summernationals action. Forty-three Super Late Models entered the event and after struggling in qualifying, Billy failed to reach a transfer spot in his heat race and the b-main. As a result, he utilized a tour provisional to start 19th in the main event. He picked up a few spots in the opening laps before a broken driveshaft sidelined him for the night on lap 8.

(June 23rd, 2010) - Billy got things back on track tonight in the extremely tight confines of Belle Claire Speedway in Belle Claire, Illinois. After winning his heat race, he drew the outside front row starting spot in the redraw. He would run second to Dennis Erb Jr. early in the race as the pair battled for the lead. As the race drew on, Billy would drop a pair of spots to a still solid 4th place finish in his first ever event at the facility. He finished behind event winner, Dennis Erb Jr., Rodney Melvin, and Jeep Van Wormer.
