Batesville, Arkansas (9/23/09) – After seeing the final events of 2009 nixed by rain over the weekend, Billy Moyer Jr. officially claimed the 2009 O’Reilly MSRA Super Late Model Championship in his #21jr Victory Circle M1 Chassis by Moyer/Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model.
After losing Saturday night's event at Springfield Raceway (Springfield, MO) and Sunday night's event at Monett Speedway (Monett, MO) to Mother Nature, the 2009 O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model season has officially concluded, and Billy Moyer Jr. is the 2009 Series' Champion! With two wins on the year with the series and several top five finishes, Billy claimed the title by over 100 points with Jeff Floyd, Kyle Beard, Jon Mitchell, and Jon Kirby rounding out the top five in the final standings.
The upcoming weekend’s plans for the team will be determined by the weather. Currently, Jr. Motorsports is slated to travel to Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for the 20th Annual Magnolia State 100, which will pay Super Late Models $20,009 to win and $1,000 to start for the twenty-six car starting grid. The weekend gets underway with an Open Practice Session from 7pm to 10pm on Thursday night. On Friday, September 24th group qualifications and heat race action will be held with the event wrapping up on Saturday, September 25th with b-mains, the last chance qualifier, and the lap main event.
