BONNE TERRE, Mo. -- The two fastest Open 4x4s in the history of Big River Sand Drags will square off in a best two-out-of-three series on Saturday, Sept. 25th, during the "Showdown at Big River."

"Blown Income," owned and driven by Jerry Stephens of Wentzville had his track records broken by "Freedom," owned and driven by Jimmy Bealmear of Mexico, Mo. over the past two seasons. Now for the first time at Big River Sand Drags the two will meet head-to-head during the "Showdown at Big River."

Bealmear set a new ET time of 2.626 second over the 300-foot sand track on Sept. 5th, breaking his earlier record he set when he broke the previous mark of Stephens. Bealmear also owns the track record of 121.75 mph set on June 14, 2003. Both marks are very close to the national records.
The event will be part of the regular proceedings at Big River Sand Drags during their show on Sept. 25th. For more information on this event contact Jeff Mills at (573) 747-0566.
