DOE RUN, MO--(June 13, 2004) Marty Boyer of Potosi, MO captured yet another feature win in the Mini Stock class at the Doe Run Raceway this past Friday night.
The win moves points leader Boyer fifteen points ahead of Eric Bellew in the Mini Stock point standings. Rounding out the top five in the feature were C.J. Wright in second, Brian Cox third, Mike LaBrot fourth and Steve Wright fifth. Chuck White earned his first of two victories in the first heat race. Matt Dunlap finished second and Ron Moser third.
C.J. Wright won the second heat with Steve Wright second and Clyde Cox third. White picked up win number two in the six lap dash followed by C.J. Wright and Dunlap.
Mike Zaricor and Vince Conway kept the fans on the edge of their seats with a side by side battle in the Dwarf Car main event. Zaricor led the race until getting caught up in lap traffic, enabling Conway to pass him and go on for the win. Zaricor settled for second followed by Bobby Black, Steve Copeland and Sam Layton. Zaricor won the first heat, Copeland second and Dave Huffman third. Conway won the second heat followed by Dwarf car points leader John Leahy Jr. and Glenn Province.
In the 600cc Multi class, Casey Barnhouse piloted his black #69 to a pair of victories in his heat race and the feature event. Barnhouse was followed in the feature by Multi points leader Jimmy Bridgeman, Rob Larson, Derek O'Dell and Junior Ferguson. Larson finished second to Barnhouse in the first heat, Ferguson third. Dustin Barks also picked up a pair of victories, winning the second heat and the six lap dash. Steve Harris finished second to Barks in the heat race with Brian Keen third. Barnhouse got a second place finish in the dash, Bridgeman third.
Michael Harp added two more wins to his resume in the Super Stock Kart class, winning both the heat race and the feature. In the feature race, Megan Bell finished second, points leader Wayne Arnold third, Brad Paquet fourth and Kyle Jarrett fifth. Arnold was second in the heat race with Bell third.
In the Stock Kart class, Jesse Wright beat Brad Paquet to the line to pick up the feature win. Braydon Wright finished third, Scott Hutchins fourth and Andrew Cash fifth. Hutchins won the heat race followed by Jesse Wright and Braydon Wright.
