Junction City, KY-October 6, 2012- Ponderosa Speedway would present its 2012 season finale on Saturday evening as the 22nd Annual Fall Classic would take place and Brad Neat of Dunnville, KY would become the fourth repeat winner of the Fall Classic and pick up the $5,000 payday for Good Neighbor Pharmacy Late Models. Other feature event winners included Jimmy Payne of Glasgow, KY in Clayton Homes Modifieds, Jamey Adams of Laurelville, OH in Ken Towery’s Auto and Tire Care Sportsman, and Adam Gregory of Gray, KY in Bob Allen Motor Mall Front Wheel Drives.

Dustin Linville would take the lead at the start of the 22nd Annual Fall Classic main event for the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Late Models and would pull away to an early advantage and would start the lapping process of slower traffic on lap 9. Justin Rattliff and Dustin Neat would battle for second, with Dustin Neat taking the spot on lap 10. Meanwhile as Linville worked traffic, Dustin Neat would reel in the race leader by lap 22 and younger brother Brad Neat, who had started sixth would make his way to third around the halfway point. The first of only two caution flags in the event waved on lap 32 when Michael England, Tommy Gregory, and Jerry Rutherford would tangle in turn three, with lead pair of Linville and Dustin Neat also sliding into the ruckus after the caution had been called. That pair would be restored to first and second, with Brad Neat now third, Justin Rattliff fourth, and Stephen Breeding fifth. A lap 35 caution for debris would be the only other caution to slow the action as Brad Neat would squeeze past Dustin Neat for second prior to the caution, with Dustin Neat pulling pitside during this caution. The restart would see Brad Neat begin to challenge Linville for the top spot, with the pair battling side-by-side for the lead beginning on lap 40 before Brad Neat made what would be the winning pass on lap 45. Brad Neat would scoot away a bit from Linville and claim the victory in his Red Buck Cigars/Neat’s Service Center/Begley’s General Store sponsored #41 MasterSbilt Race Car powered by a Cornett Race Engine. Linville would take second, with Rattliff coming home third, while Breeding and D.J. Wells rounded out the top five. The remainder of the top ten would be Todd Coffman, Johnny Wheeler, Tim Tungate, Jeff Watson, and Ricky Arms. Thirty-one entries would see Linville as top qualifier at 13.260 seconds. Country 100.9 MIKE FM heat winners included Linville, Michael Chilton, Dustin Neat, and Justin Rattliff. Jeff Watson and Wesley Brummett would win the B-Mains, while provisional starters would be Michael Wright (time) and Clarence Belcher (track).

The Clayton Homes Modified feature would see five caution flags wave before one lap would be scored, but once action got underway, Jimmy Payne would roll to the race lead and would hold off a hard-charging Michael England to pick up the $1,000 first place prize in the seat of the Richard Harlow owned Maximum Energy Development/Diamond Auto Collision/Crawford’s Auto Repair/Barren River Pest Control/Young’s Barber Shop sponsored #155 Bandit Race Car powered by a Runion Race Engine. England would take second, with Elliott Despain, Tommy Bailey, and Delane Browning completing the top five. Rounding out the top ten would be Robbie Settles, Mikan Reams, Jeff Stith, Jimmy Lennex, Jr., and Brad Schlosser. Twenty-eight entries would see England as top qualifier at 14.894 seconds, while Smith Automotive Machine Shop heat wins going to Payne, Bailey, and Ricky Arms. Cy Cundiff would win the B-Main, while provisional starters would be Ricky Tinch (time) and Mikah Reams (track).

Glenn Hounshell, Jr. would lead the first two circuits of the Ken Towery’s Auto and Tire Care Sportsman main event before spinning out in turn one on lap 3, handing the lead over to Jamey Adams. Adams would then withstand a green/white/checkered restart to take the checkered flag first and pick up the $500 payday aboard the Jim Helterbran owned unsponsored #427 Ford Fusion machine. Jeremy Howard with finish second, while Donnie Sullivan took the third position. Avral Thompson and Derek Bottoms finished fourth and fifth. The rest of the top ten would be Pat Hagan, Glenn Hounshell, Jr., Eli Meredith, Steve Rector, and Johnny King. Twenty-one entries would see Adams as top qualifier at 15.914 seconds, while the Central Painting heat race victories fell to Adams, Hounshell, Jr., and John Cole.

The Bob Allen Motor Mall Front Wheel Drive main event would feature three different leaders and Adam Gregory would make a late race pass to score the win in his Friends of Coal sponsored #22 machine. Eighth starting Rodney Foltz would take runner-up honors, while Jerry Gibson III, William Butler, and Michael Hensley would complete the top five. Nine entries would also see Gregory score the heat win.
