(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN) Brady Smith collected the first two wins of his 2012 racing season during a busy stretch of action in his home state of Wisconsin from August 1-7. Brady’s first victory came in the NASCAR portion of Saturday’s ‘USA Nationals’ at the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin. The Solon Springs, Wisconsin ace started from the outside of the front row and dominated the A-Main en route to capturing the $2,500 top prize over Don Shaw, Tim Isenberg, Brent Larson, and Pat Doar!

His second trip to victory lane came on Sunday, August 5 at the AMSOIL Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin. In the first ‘Twin Ports Twin 25’ for the WISSOTA Late Models, Brady made his way to the front of the field in the 25-lapper to take home the $1,500 victory over John Kaanta, Don Shaw, Darin Meierotto, and Steve Laursen. After drawing a seventeen car invert for the second 25-lap main event, Brady charged past eleven competitors on his way to a strong sixth place effort.

In other action last week, Brady finished second in the $2,500 to win NASCAR show at Cedar Lake on Friday night and wound up a solid eighth in the final rundown of the $50,000 to win ‘USA Nationals’ at CLS on Saturday. Brady then closed out the busy stretch of racing action on Tuesday, August 7 with the rain-postponed ‘Mid-States Equipment 50’ at the Shawano Speedway in Shawano, Wisconsin. The driver known as “The Prodigy” ran second in his heat race prior to finishing fourth in the $10,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series showdown behind only winner Darrell Lanigan, Bub McCool, and Tim Fuller.
