4/20/04 Buena Park, CA. – Hear the rumble of 700 horsepower motors this Saturday night at the Thunderbowl. This will be the 2nd appearance of the California Clash Super Late Models in Tulare, Ca. And everybody is asking if Steve Drake can win his third in row or will we see another driver dominate this weekend? With $2000.00 on the line to win and $400.00 to start, you can bet on an exciting race. Also on hand will be the SCRA Sprint Cars battling it out for bragging rights this weekend. You can’t ask for a better show than that.
The “Clash” will also be awarding 2 lucky fans a $100.00 bill and a $50.00 bill during the racing action. Be sure to brush up on your racing trivia to take one of those home with you. You will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for the ultimate racing collectable, a Simpson Racing Suit signed by all off the drivers participating in the California Clash series this year with the proceeds going to the Kyle Petty Victory Junction Gang and Speedway Charities. (The Simpson Racing Suit will be raffled at the season ending race in Bakersfield on October 9th. You do not have to be in attendance to win.)
The Grandstands will open at 5 PM with Qualifying at 6 PM. Adult admission ranging from $15.00 to $18.00, children 7 to 12 will be $10.00 and children 6 and under are free.
The Pit Gates will open at 3 PM with Pit passes being $30.00 for “Clash Members” and $40.00 for non-members. For those teams with a long tow, you can spend the night at the fairgrounds after the racing action.
