Carl edwards on probation from nascar

Mike Helton just said he would be on probation for the next 3 race.
 
What a joke, three races, no fine, no loss of points.

This wasn't just a case of tempers or a rough driving issue, this was a spoiled brat who admits before hand that he himself caused his own problem and then 150 laps down goes out there and deliberatly takes a car out that was still in the hunt and endangers not only the driver in the car but the other drivers on the track and the fans sitting in the stands.

nascar is a joke.
 
They said they were going to let drivers police themselves, if they threw the book at him then they would look like a joke.Three races is very light though.
 
do you really think carl meant to make the little cry baby go upside down? no he didnt he did mean to rattle his cage! and i think he did a pretty good job of it! i dont think he should have gotten any punishment! i heard nascar say that something had to be done with bks driving! they didnt do it so carl did now maybe he will act right and drive like he should! IN THE BACK OF THE PACK!!!!! he just better be lucky it wasnt stewart he was messing with in stewarts younger days he would have gaven that snot nosed kid a real rippen! GOOD JOB CARL!!!!!!!!!
 
I wonder when all these people are going to get over the what ifs. What if that, what if this, what if, what if, what if. Guess what. Nothing happened. Stop crying. What if Dale Sr. hadn't died?? Then Brad K. would have already been on his roof long before now.
 
This is a case of the what if's as mentioned above. People get into each other in every race and some take others out. Just so happens that Brads car took flight. And from watching the Live Press deal with Helton seems like they are more concerned with the cars taking flight that Carl being the cause of it. Glad Brad didnt get hurt but he deserved it. Not just from that race but many past races. I dont feel sorry for the little punk. When Carl went after him i dont think he was thinking..."i am gunna clip him in the rear and make him spin out and take flight roof first into the wall"....If you are gunna talk your stupid trash like Brad does then expect to go for a ride. Just so happens he took flight. Highly doubt that Carl though that would happen. Yeah all you Carl haters will say well he should have know there was a chance of that....Blah Blah....Maybe Nascar shouldnt have made the comments about letting the drivers police themselves more this year. I like Carl but he isnt my favorite. But anyone that gives Brad what he deserves is on the top of my list of liked drivers. His attitude and driving better get better otherwise he is gunna cost Penske a ton of money. He has already got a half million dollar car wasted. Any wagers on how many more because i know this wont be the last time he gets payback from someone.

Smalldirt, your point is like defending someone shooting someone else and then claiming I didn't know he was going to die.

Sure, Opie didn't know he would go upside down and smash into the wall in front of fans sitting there, but he knew it might happen and he did it anyway. Even after admitting that Brad really didn't do anything to him to justify his anger in the first place.

Concerning money, Opie just took a lot of money out of Penskes pocket, by tearing up one of his cars and robbing that car of a higher finishing spot and a larger payday.

Perhaps it would be fitting it Penske took a little of that back from Opie's hide, because he deserves a good butt kickin
 
All this is going to be is a pi$$ing match because you have those that like Edwards and those that dont. So the opinions are going to vary and no one is going to get anywhere except wasted time over opinions.

Phoenix, that is not quite the best comparison on your part. Shooting someone and stock car racing are two totally different things. I would never shoot someone thinking they wouldnt die. But i would dump someone out on the track if they did something to deserve it. In fact i have in the past. Big whoop. Things happen and tempers flare. But when things happen over and over with the same person ( and i am not only talking about this race ) then expect to gain no respect and expect to get driven dirty. Kinda goes along the saying "you drive me clean i will drive you clean, you drive me dirty i will drive you dirty." Brad is nothing but a little punk ( far before this weekend ) that thinks he is gods gift to racing. Kleenex should look into sponsoring Brad. Almost seems fitting.

This is all i got to say over this topic. These are all strictly peoples opinions and everyone has there own opinion. No need for me to keep on bickering. No hard feeling either. I take nothing personal in a opinionated post. I just wanted to voice my opinion and thats it. Good day all.
 
Is everyone on the wrong side always mad. I like Carl but he tryed to hurt Brad, Thats just wrong... NASCAR smacking Carl on the hand is even wrong....And being pissed at each other over this is wrong...

150 laps down is a great time to issue a payback.

Carl just beat Hamlin and a few others to do it.
 
Carl didnt try to hurt anybody. How can you get hurt from spinning out. Quit asking what could have happen and look at what did happen.

Yea how could somebody possibly get hurt from spinning out, Just ask Dale Sr, oh yea you cant he is dead. Brad didn't just get spun out, and it does not matter what Edwards intended to happen that is not what happened. If Brad was Dale Sr you would all be applauding how he drives and calling him the Intimidater but since you don't like him he is a punk. Nascar is a joke it has crowned a cheater champ the last 4 years. Andy
 
If Carl was Dale Sr. everyone would be applauding. Btw im with you on he champ. Hopefully someone else wins this year.

I can't believe Keselowski gets away with this! He started it again last Sunday and NASCAR does nothing!
 
I think Carl should waited an took him around back in the garage and put a can of whoop ***** on him.then we would have nascar and wwf world wrestling.Carl wouldve popped him like a pimple.Ive know carl for along time back when he raced the Springfield mile and also raced around his home at airport speedway in Springfield Mo.He drove a late model for Al Kreke at Pevely.

Thanks Nascar!!! This year is going to be GREAT!!! If Carl only got a 3 day probation, other drivers are going to do the same thing to each other. Now this is worth watching this year!!! Nascar is like the WWE, you don't know who will be in the cage match next week.

Nascar, thanks for letting them race like the old days!!!

I said this before, these cars are bullet proof now. Get over it SISSIES!!!
