DUDE,I LOVE IT,YOU ARE SO RIGHT,,,,matter of fact after the daytona race this year i said to myself,,if the OLD MAN had been behind macmurry the question would NOT HAVE BEEN,will he hit him...the question would have been "HOW HARD WILL HE HIT HIM!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I plan to get my evens the only way I can and that is to not buy anything that is advertised on Opie's car or anything made by any company that associates themselves with him.

Whether you like the driver (brad) or not, the 12 car was running 6th at the time, that equals money both for the car owner and the cars sponsors and that spoiled brat having no justication (by his own admission) for his extreme actions took money from both.

His own admission is the key point for my opinion, if Brad had tried to wreck him earlier then I would say he got what he derserved, but no matter how you try to rationlize it, that wasn't the case here, by his (Carls) own admission.

some times when ya take revenge on the track it can come back and bit ya..i know first hand..the sportsman race at the fair last year,i had whitey (#1)on a mission in my heat race, had the feature made and that was against some real good cars, could not be happy just making the show so with 1 lap to go i tried to pass a car on the high side, got run in to the wall, lost momentmun and went to the back..i was so pizzed that comming across the finish line i did not lift and ran into some body, prolly not the guy that stuffed me,,broke my radiator and was done for the night....would i do it again????? what do you think???

Thats your choice mine is the complete opposite . I always liked Carl and a bigger fan today. I will buy his merchandise and support all his sponsors. I applaud him standing up and not letting guys run him over. I was a huge Dale Sr. fan for that reason and its great to see someone finally come to this series with some balls. You all get on here bashing how boring and over policed nascar is but once someone crosses your "went to far" bs you whine about that. Carl i give you a standing O and hope the competition know that you wont put up with bs !!!

They said they were going to let drivers police themselves

Then lets see some Cale Yarbourgh, Donnie Allison, Bobby Allison, rough housing like in 1979. That was the most helpful rating/popularity moment in Nascar history. :D

I'm all for giving the drivers some power to police themselves. I don't like the big shots making all the calls. Where I fault Carl is he was so blatant for 2 laps with his intentions. Nascar can't have that. Be a little more discreet about it, they can't just have a guy out there head hunting like he was. jmo.

Turn left:

Is a perfect example of why you should always be scared of a jury trial.

The average person cannot seperate his personal feelings and personal beliefs from the cold hard facts surrounding an incident.

I suppose that if someone said to TURN LEFT, I thought you bumped into me , but now I know that you didn't and that in fact I bumped into you, but i'm going to kick your butt anyway he would just love that guy.

Do you think the "punishment" would be the same if it was not so popular driver. Lets say Robby Gordon did this. Didn't Jr. lose points and fine for spinning himself out at Bristol?(i might be misremembering) NASCAR seems to be all over the place......

Lol i love how people turn a incident on a race track into a conversation of law. I have no idea why i should be scared of any trial i havent been charged with anything?? As to the comment or ramble whatever it was about being bumped and accusing the wrong person been there done that! I am man enough to admit when i am wrong! On that note i didnt let people run me over either and if i felt wronged i handled it rather than whinning and crying like a little b@#$h and nothing gets solved. The problem with this world is everyone wants to complain but noone likes the answers to solve anything!!

My 2 cents

Ok, so here it goes... Yes, maybe turning a guy on purpose-at Atlanta wasn't the smartest decision but in the heat of the moment you don't really take time to consider all the possible outcomes. It's easy to sit in your chair and say, "how stupid was that". I personally was glad to see Carl push back and to see that NASCAR held to their word as far as letting guys work things out themselves. Although I would prefer to see things settled outside the car, "Carl knock the crap out of Keselowski" even if NASCAR would allow that, some pansy would get a lawyer and try and make some money off it, or press charges.

The bottom line is that there are guys like Keselowski who moved up to soon or can't drive worth a darn or maybe it's just that they never learned respect for others, either way they cause to many wrecks!! If NASCAR can't or won't do something with them then maybe knowing that the other drivers will, will make them reconsider the next time the fail to lift soon enough........

I know that wrecks are a part of racing but when it happens with the same driver over and over, well maybe it more than just an accident.

Bottom line... so who has started all this crap with Edwards, Hamlin, Harvick and others... Keselowski

Who started it again at Atlanta ... Keselowski

just the facts;)

Ghost 67:

Who startted it at atlanta?

Do you have any idea of what you are talking about before you run your mouth.

It was Edwards who hit the 12 car first, then goes back out and hits the 12 car again, the 12 car didn't do anything wrong the entire day.

Turn Left , you need a course in comprehension, I only hope you never sit on a jury because you are not qualified.

Just common sence,,,,, edwards did come down on the 12 early in the race. But shouldnt he have lifted and let him in line?? everyone screaming NO needs to think too, whats the most importaint part of the areodynamics on the cup cars? THE NOSE. Wouldnt common sence as a driver be lift, let him in line and protect the nose of the car because theres 300 laps to go? Its another "what if" but hese lucky he didnt mash the nose and spent the rest of the day as a mid pack car to begin with.

Keslowski isnt a smart kid, hese been very lucky with all the crap hese dished out. And I hope the fact that they didnt suspend Edwards wakes the boy up enough to realize hese not the bad *** he thinks he is.

I could rattle off a whole list of local names that deserve to be in the spot hese in much more than him, I cant figure out how some complete moron can get a ride as a living, much less at the top level of stock car racing

a lot of common sense wisdom in this post

Common sense should help. Don't you think Edwards should have remember Talladega, the last time he came down across Keslowski's nose he ended up in the fence. I would have thought about that, before I would have came down on him.

Seems like Opie keeps doing the same stupid thing, then blaming others.

Penske should put a 4th car together for the next race with instructions to take out hard any Rousch car that gets near him. If nascar won't park the idiot and the car owner won't sit him down till he grows up then the car owner should pay the price.

Lol so now who is letting their emotion make the decisions. I love guys like you , you should run for mayor or a senator . By the way hope i am a juror in a trial your involved in some day :D!!
