(Warrensburg, MO) At long last the 2010 race season is underway at Warrensburg's own Central Missouri Speedway (CMS). This Saturday night, May 15 will be night number two of the championship season, presented by Bad Boy Mowers. CMS has been informed that former World 100 qualifier Peyton Taylor, of Batesville, Arkansas, is scheduled to be on hand in the Bad Boy Mowers sponsored #01 Modified and will be competing with the 'Mighty Modiefieds' at the track this Saturday. Visit Peyton Taylor's official Website at www.peytontaylorracing.com. Bad Boy Mowers are sold at Golden Valley Tractor in Clinton, Missouri. Also this Saturday night is "Armed Forces Appreciation Night" at the speedway with an additional $2 off for our military I.D. cardholders. With the already reduced rate for our military friends, this means that I.D. card holders will get in to the races for just $6 this weekend!

There were 82 drivers on hand last week for the opening night and the action was exciting as ever with multi-grooved racing all over the fastest high-banked clay oval in the Midwest. The track was ultra-smooth and hammer-down fast for the competitors. Waterloo Storage Products feature race winners last weekend were Jason Thompson Modifieds, Jon Binning ULMA Late Models, Brian Johnson Street Stocks, and Brad Smith B-Modifieds. Look for new challengers this weekend in all divisions!

Coming up on May 22, the track will host "Social Networking Night." If you're on FaceBook look for the speedway by name and send a friend request. Once you become our friend look for the speical Social Networking Night coupon to redeem. You can also follow CMS on Twitter. In just a couple weeks, the first special event of the year will take place over the Memorial Day weekend on May 28 and 29. Street Stocks will headline on May 28 with a $1,500-to-win event, which also features the inaugural appearance of the Ozark Mountain Midget Series. Then, on May 29, the "Mighty' ones take center stage with a $3,000-to-win modified special, also competing on Saturday will be ULMA Late Models and B-Modifieds. Advanced tickets for the Memorial Weekend special for fans are on sale, request forms are located at www.centralmissourispeedway.net. Advanced entry forms for drivers are also readily available under the "Special Events" headline on the website.
As always, our pit gates will open this weekend at 4:30, spectator gates open at 5, hot laps start at 7, with racing getting underway at 7:30. For more information call the Track Report line at (660) 747-2166 or visit the track's official Web site at www.centralmissourispeedway.net.
