CHASE AUSTIN TO RACE THE "TEAM RACE CHIC" MICRO SPRINT CAR IN THE 20TH ANNUAL TULSA SHOOT OUT

(Eudora Kansas, December 28th, 2004) Chase Austin will climb back in to the familiar seat of a Micro Sprint car for the 20th annual Tulsa Shoot Out in Tulsa Oklahoma on Thursday, December 30th through Saturday, January 1st. Having moved from Micro Sprint cars to full size cars on both dirt and asphalt, Chase is looking forward to returning to his roots. "I am really excited about this event and having the chance to get back in to a Micro Sprint car," said Chase. "I really want to thank Team Race Chic and Sawyer Chassis for giving me this opportunity.” Chase spent a full season racing Micro sprint cars in 2002 and was crowned “Rookie of the Year” at Will Rogers Raceway, in Claremore, Oklahoma.

The famous "Tulsa Shoot Out" features hundreds of Micro Sprint cars, Quads and Go-Karts from across the nation. With over 1200 total entries, this is one of the largest indoor events of its kind. Chase will be racing the "Team Race Chick" Micro Sprint in three divisions; "A Class" (stock motors), "Multi" (non-stock motors) and "Non-Wing."

Race Chic will be the primary sponsor of Chase’s #111 Micro Sprint. Race Chick, a division of Bullet Impressions in Hanford, California, is the creation of Jim Gardner. Race Chic carries everything from "Race Chick in Training" infant apparel, to T-shirts, Hoodies, sportswear, hats and lingerie. Chase will be making personal appearances Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the Race Chic booth to sign Race Chic apparel. “This is our first time as a primary sponsor,” explained Jim Gardner with Race Chic. Sawyer Chassis, from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, will be providing Associate Sponsorship for this event. “Sawyer Chassis is a third generation, family owned business with over 26 years of experience in Micro Sprint cars. Chase Austin is currently part of the Hendrick Motorsports Driver Development program. During the 2005 season, Chase will team up with SS Racing in Indianapolis Indiana to run the ASA Late Model series. SS Racing, owned by Ken Smith, has an alliance with Hendrick Motorsports to help groom the NASCAR drivers of the future. Chase will have the opportunity to work with the legendary Butch Miller as well as crew chief Deon Deneau as part of the SS racing team.
