CLARKSVILLE, TN – Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway will present NASCAR Night at the ¼-mile clay oval on Wednesday night, July 26. Race fans are invited to be a part of the evening by biding on an opportunity to take a ride at race speed around the track in a two-seat dirt late model.

All of the money raised through the auctions will benefit the American Cancer Society to help in the race to find a cure for cancer.

An impressive trio of drivers has been lined-up to chauffer the high bidders. Clarksville’s own Jeff Purvis will be one of the drivers. Purvis is an inductee in the National Dirt Late Model Hall of Fame, and after becoming the premier dirt late model driver in the county during the 80s; he went on to a distinguished career in NASCAR.

Purvis has recently returned to his racing roots, and is a current top-ten driver in the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series, where he has a fast time, and two top five finishes in National Touring StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series events at Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway. Purvis also has a win this season at his home track in StormPay.com Weekly Racing Series action.

The other two drivers offering breathtaking rides around Clarksville StormPay.com Speedway on July 26 are two St. Louis, MO drivers, who are also popular personalities on the SPEED Channel.

Ken Schrader and Kenny Wallace, in addition to being successful NASCAR drivers, are also accomplished dirt track racers. Both Schrader and Wallace have competed in StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series National Touring competition, and have recorded top ten finishes.

Purvis, Schrader, and Wallace will be driving a specially built dirt late model race car with a passenger seat. The passenger will have the opportunity to feel what it’s like to slide into a corner at speeds approaching 100 miles per hour, and then blasting off the turns just inches away from the concrete outside retaining wall.
