Not trying to start a bash fest on those who don't have them. Just would like to know why they wouldn't. Seems to me it would definitely be favorable for the racers. With the cost of racing, the racers needs all the benefits they can get.
CLASS SPONSORS?
There are several tracks that have them in the St.Louis area and some that don't. The way I figure it, this money could go into the oh so important payout each night, or the season point fund. Also to give trophies for the feature winners. Some of these tracks without them have billboard sponsorship hanging all over, that I know for a fact isn't cheap. I really can't see why every track wouldn't have them.
As far as the trophy comment. Some might not think that is a big deal. I for one think it is nice. It might not be to a guy who wins a lot. But, to a guy who may only be lucky enough to win 1 feature in his career, it would definitely be a nice keepsake!..........J/M/O
