It was officially announced by track owner and director Earl Walls two Saturday nights ago that CMS 'Hobby Stox' will be added to the weekly card for the 2004 season. After that announcement, racing rumor spread that another of the classes will be dropped. Any judgment to that effect has not been announced.

"We feel that the class offers a more economical way to get into racing. It's a way for beginners to learn the rules of racing and is a good family oriented sport that mom and dad can get involved in without having to take out a loan on the house," Earl pointed out.

The rules for the cars, front wheel drive stockers, will be exactly the same as the innovators of the class, L.A. Raceway in LaMonte. Many of the over 35 runners already competing in that division at the new and successful, Friday night speed-plant will now have a close-by, second night to race.

"I think that LA Raceway came up with a great idea. Most of their registered drivers all live in this area. Now they'll have a second track to run", Walls ended.

Car specifications are now available. You can obtain your copy of the Hobby Stox specs by E-mail at: racewebs@msn.com .
