COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Revises RiceTec Summer Series Schedule

Beebe, Arkansas (07/31/12) – With recent track closing and schedule alterations due to Mother Nature the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model tour has been forced to modify the dates for the RiceTec/RiceSelect Summer Series.

With the recent closing of Beebe Speedway (Beebe, Arkansas) as well as a rainout at Malden Speedway (Malden, Missouri) the schedule of events for the RiceTec/RiceSelect Summer Series has been adjusted. Round #4 of the miniseries will be held this Saturday, August 4th at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas. Round #5 will now be held on Friday, September 14th at Malden Speedway (Malden, Missouri), while the miniseries will conclude on Saturday, September 15th at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas).

"We really appreciate Jim Thompson, and everyone with RiceTec and RiceSelect supporting our series. They are an asset to our sport, and do so much for us," comments Ellis. "This entire series within a series has really created a spirited challenge for our racers."

The RiceTec/RiceSelect Summer Series is currently being led by Jon Kirby with Curtis Cook, Jon Mitchell, Robert Baker, and Brandon Smith in pursuit. The RiceTec/RiceSelect Summer Series is a six race series, which boasts a $1,000 bonus to the winner of the miniseries with $500 to the second place driver, $300 to the third place driver, and a $200 bonus to the fourth place driver in the final standings. This Saturday, August 4th the CCSDS will host a $2,000-to-win event at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas). The event, which will be part of the RiceTec/RiceSelect Summer Series will mark the second of three appearances for the tour at the 1/4 mile oval in 2012. Billy Moyer claimed a dominating win in the tour's first appearance at the oval earlier this year. Also in action on the card will be IMCA Open Wheel Modifieds, Super Stocks, and Mod Lites. Adult grandstand admission is $20 with just $1 for kids (6-12 years-of-age) when accompanied by an adult, and ages 5 and under free. Pit admission is $30.
