COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Rolls into Malden Speedway & NEA Speedway

Beebe, Arkansas (07/24/12) – After more than a one month break the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model tour will hit the road this weekend in a pair of events in Missouri and Arkansas.

Jon Mitchell resides atop the CCSDS standings by just two markers over Curtis Cook. Brandon Smith, Robert Baker, Jon Kirby, Johnny Virden, Keith Lawson, Kyle Beard, Tommy Surrett, and Chandler Petty round out the top ten in the current standings.

Robert Baker also continues to lead the Kuntz & Co. Rookie of the Year standings over Chandler Petty and Kenneth Jackson.

This weekend's events will also mark the third and fourth rounds of the RiceTec/RiceSelect Summer Series. The miniseries is currently being led by Curtis Cook with Jon Kirby, Brandon Smith, Timothy Culp, and Jon Mitchell in pursuit. The RiceTec/RiceSelect Summer Series boasts a $1,000 bonus to the winner of the miniseries with $500 to the second place driver, $300 to the third place driver, and a $200 bonus to the fourth place driver in the final standings. On Friday, July 27th the CCSDS tour rolls into Malden Speedway (Malden, Missouri) for a $2,000-to-win/$300-to-start event. This will mark the second and final appearance of 2012 for the tour at the 3/8 mile oval. Wendell Wallace scored the win at the facility earlier in the year. Also in action will be Open Wheel Modifieds, Pure Streets, Mini Stocks, and E-Mods. The driver's meeting is at 6:45pm with hot laps at 7:00pm and racing action at 7:30pm. Saturday, July 28th will mark the second appearance of 2012 at Northeast Arkansas Speedway (Harrisburg, Arkansas) for the CCSDS tour. Billy Moyer claimed the win at the facility in June. Hot laps are slated for 6:30 pm with heats and features to follow. General admission will be $15 for adults, $5 for children 6-12, and FREE for children 5 and under.
