Granite City, IL – The NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series continues at Tri-City Speedway this Saturday with “Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Poster Night.”
The first 500 adult race fans, 21 years or older, will receive a Dale Earnhardt Jr., racing poster absolutely free when entering the spectator gates.
Tom Seets will attempt to lengthen his championship lead in the NASCAR Heartland Region. The veteran Late Model driver, the winningest driver in the nation-wide NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series, leads with a 0.8350 Competition Performance Index (CPI) based on 14 starts, 13 wins, 13 Top Five and 13 Top Ten finishes. His closest competitor, Tim Lance, of Peoria Speedway, holds a 0.8019 CPI with 16 starts, six wins, 16 Top Five and 16 Top Ten finishes.
Heading into the final four race events of NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series racing, the raging championship battle between defending ShorTrack Series champion Terry Chester and Bert Jacoby rekindles Saturday with only 24 points separating the two.
Spectator gates open at 6 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. Tri-City Speedway is located one-half mile south of I-270 on Illinois Route 203 south (exit 4).
