ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. (March 14) – Petersen Aluminum embarks on a second decade as a sponsor for one of the Midwest’s premier tours, giving product awards to three drivers in the Deery Brothers Summer Series for IMCA Late Models.
The cham¬pion and rookie of the year, as well as the winner of the Sept. 3 main event during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nation¬als fueled by Cenex, all receive 10 sheets aluminum from the Elk Grove, Ill., manufacturer.
Drivers must display two Petersen Aluminum decals on their race car to be eligible. Those decals will be avail¬a¬ble at all events in the 26th annual tour beginning on opening night Saturday, March 31 at Farley Speedway.
Petersen manufactures and sells painted aluminum and mill finish aluminum sheets, extru¬sions and stain¬less steel.
Information about those products and their racing appli¬cations is available at the www.pac-rac¬ing.com website or by calling 800 323-1960.
Ray Guss Jr. repeated as series champion in 2011 while Eric Sanders scored rookie of the year honors. Colby Springsteen reigned at Super Nationals.
"Mike Manno and his team at Petersen Aluminum have been great supporters of our Late Model division for a while now and we appreciate the continued relationship in 2012,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder.
