(WHEELERSBURG, OHIO) Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Delmas Conley picked up his first win of the 2012 racing season on Saturday night, August 4 at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio! Delmas, who finished second in his heat race, rolled off starting fifth on the grid in the A-Main. The patriarch of the racing Conley clan grabbed the lead with only three laps to go and drove to the popular $2,000 victory over Nick Bocook and Ben Adkins. R.J. Conley was close behind in the fourth position, while Rod Conley suffered a flat tire and retired in the fifteenth spot.
On Friday night, both Rod and R.J. Conley were in action at two different Buckeye State ovals. Rod tackled the Jackson County Speedway in Jackson, Ohio for a pair of ADRA Twin 25s. "Hot Rod" ran sixth in the dash, finished third in the first $1,500 to win feature event, and placed sixth in the final 25-lapper. R.J. ventured to the Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio on Friday for a $2,000 to win weekly program. He finished fifth in the dash before winding up third in the final rundown of the A-Main behind only winner Jackie Boggs and runner-up Steve Lucas.
