(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Mother Nature wreaked havoc at racetracks across the Midwest last weekend, but Dennis Erb was still able to put his #28 into victory lane! On Saturday night, May 1 after the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event was rained-out at the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky, the Dennis Erb Racing team trekked north to the Fairbury American Legion Speedway in Fairbury, Illinois. The long tow paid off, as Dennis won his heat race before claiming the $2,000 top prize in the Northern Allstars Late Model Series (NALMS) sanctioned feature event. The Carpentersville, Illinois native recorded his second victory of 2010 ahead of Jason Feger, Steve Lance, Jr., Dillan White, and Derek Chandler in a race that was shortened by eleven laps due to rain.

Earlier in the weekend, the #28 team competed in a $3,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Series show on Friday evening, April 30 at the Paducah International Raceway. After pulling off the track in his heat race, Dennis finished third in the B-Main to advance into the main event. During the course of the A-Main at PIR, Dennis rallied to salvage an eleventh place performance. You can view complete results from both Paducah and Fairbury over the weekend by accessing www.paducahracing.com and www.fairburyspeedway.com.

"The rain was a real headache last weekend, but fortunately we were able to race a couple of times," commented Erb this week. "We had some electrical problems during the heat race at Paducah on Friday night, but got into the feature through the B-Main and rebounded to finish eleventh. Then at Fairbury on Saturday, we got out in the lead before the rain hit and got our second win of the year. Hopefully, Mother Nature will leave us alone this weekend and weather will not play a factor in the World of Outlaws races at Lincoln and Bardstown."

The Dennis Erb Racing team will now turn their attention to a pair of World of Outlaws Late Model Series shows this upcoming weekend (May 7-8) in the states of Illinois and Kentucky. On Friday night, the Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois will host a $10,000 to win program, while the Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, Kentucky will do the same on Saturday evening.
