GREENFIELD, IN (December 22, 2007) – Cameron Dodson is one step closer to his goal of racing in the premier ranks of professional motorsports after an amazing 2007 debut season in the USAC Silver Crown™ Series. The 19 year-old racing standout from Indiana performed like a veteran in his rookie season with the tour. Driving the Carl Edwards Racing/R.E. Technologies’ No. 199, Cameron earned one win, fast qualifying honors, four podium finishes, six Top-5s and 8 Top-10s in only a dozen starts.

Under the guidance of NASCAR star Carl Edwards and team manager Chris Santucci, Dodson led the most laps en route to a win at the historic season finale – the “Copper World Classic” at Phoenix International Raceway. That performance when coupled with a consistently strong season increased the Hoosier racing phenom’s lead in the USAC Silver Crown™ “Rookie of the Year” standings. Dodson commanded the board throughout the season but was recently named “Rookie of the Year” for the historic series by way of a panel vote and will be honored at USAC’s “Night of Champions” National Awards Dinner at the Westin Hotel – Indianapolis on January 19, 2008.

Cameron’s prowess on the track has already turned heads of various NASCAR-backed teams in the stockcar ranks. After recently completing a successful test session with one, the talented young racer is finalizing an ambitious 2008 tour that will be announced in the near future.
