DOE RUN, MO--(June 14, 2005) Despite Mother Natures threats, Doe Run Raceway was able to complete a full evening of racing this past Friday night.
In the 600cc Multi division, Tony Roney visited victory lane twice, winning both his heat race and the feature event. Roney jumped out in front at the green flag and never looked back, leading all 20 laps. Dustin Barks finished second, Joey Boyd third, Ryan Jones fourth and Zach Daum fifth. Roney won the first heat, Joey Boyd second and Barks third. Ryan Jones won the second heat, Tyler Robbins second and Andy Malpocker third.
Mike Zaricor returned to the winners circle in the Dwarf car class main event. Points leader Bill Beard finished second, Dave Huffman third, Billy Craig fourth and Chris Hayes fifth. Beard won the heat race followed by Zaricor, Billy Joe Beard, Billy Craig and Chris Hayes.
In the Mini Stock class, Dave Wofford was the winner of the feature event as well as the first heat race. Wofford was followed in the feature by Shannon Burch, Bill Nickelson, Mike Meyer and C.J. Wright. C.J. Wright finished second to Wofford in the first heat race, Steve Wright third, Dave Snider fourth and Mike Helvey. Shannon Burch won the second heat, Nickelson second, Meyer third, Brian McGee fourth, and Butch Hartman fifth.
Landon Barks won the stock kart feature event followed by Braydon Wright, Andrew Cash, Jesse Wright and Maggie Almon. Jesse Wright won the heat race, Barks second, Braydon Wright third, Andrew Cash fourth and Maggie Almon fifth.
