Bardstown, KY- April 12, 2004- The start of the 2004 racing season for Bluegrass Speedway will arrive this Saturday night, April 17, as the racing action will get underway as the popular Nelson County ½ mile high-banked clay oval located just minutes from historic Bardstown, KY, is set to begin its tenth season of sports entertainment, in the form of stock car racing at the Charles Hamilton owned, David and Anita Ferrell promoted facility.

All four weekly divisions will be featured during the 2004 Season Opener at the track, which was voted as one of the top “dirty dozen” dirt tracks in America last year in a magazine poll. The Late Models will headline the racing card, racing 25 laps for $1,000 to win. The Modifieds will also be in action, racing 20 laps for $500 to win. The Sportsman class will go 15 laps for $200 to win, while the Street Stocks will race 12 laps for $100 to win in their feature event.
