just wondering if an local tracks plan or considered extending their schedules since there were so many rain outs this year weather permitting of course

I think all the tracks should look at extending the season as Mother Nature sure took away a lot of dates this year.

Why?? So they can lose their asses?? Historically once school and football start the parties over as far as racing goes.

A few years back, Mt Vernon ran all the way into November. I believe good car counts and good crowds if I remember correctly.... you are correct, even ran Sunday afternoon a number of times..............

Guys it would be nice, I'm sure, if it was still like this but it's not. A portion of the problem is reliving the past, it's gone, and to keep hashing over how it used to be isn't advancing racing one bit. Don't know how many times I've heard " back in the day...." but hardly ever "hey were going to try this and see how it works" How do we fix it? Who knows.

no fans in the stands talk to a friend of mine last night he said last night was his first night all year if the fans can't make all year long how do you think the drivers and teams to make it every race i say it again keep the admission price the same and pit pass the same and thing can change ie oakshade raceway look at there rules also for every class except late models which they can change if you are getting 55 bombers egads every night you gotta be doing something right

Hey, bigeddirthoundliteinnf40, that's not the problem. I think you are to dumb to get it your living in the past. You need to get into the 21 century.

what does that mean really now if people don't have the cash or time they are not showing up

Why not try and have concerts after the races or battle of bands kinda thing, seen the parking lot for muckfest Saturday afternoon it was packed could have gave those

If you stop talking about what tracks did in past then you won't know what did and did not work before. Some times you can take an old idea that didn't work and put a new spin on it. It could end up being the best idea for a long time.

The biggest issue aftee the middle of sept the weather can be iffy ,get below a certain degrees and fan or teams don't show up

They need to get more kids at the races. There is more to compete with for your entertainment dollar these days. This may not be interesting for the average fan but create a pro 4 class just for the high school kids paint them in the kids school colors, at the end of the year the points leaders school gets the point money donated to their school. The biggest cost would be building the cars for the kids but it would put more but ts in the stands and future racers.
