SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (April 8) – Extreme Technologies more than doubles the scope of its awards program for IMCA Modifieds in 2011, with new prizes for special events competitors.
Random feature qualifiers at 30 designated specials will receive $50 product certificates this season.
State champions in the class will again receive product certificates of the same value from the Simi Valley, Calif., muffler manufacturer.
IMCA rules recommend the Extreme 1014-3030 or 1114-3535 muffler be used at tracks that require noise re¬duction to 97 decibels or less.
Certificates will be mailed from the IMCA home office the week after special events are held or in late October, after Allstar Performance State point standings become official.
More information about Extreme-manufactured mufflers is available by calling 805 584-2984 and at the www.extrememufflers.com website.
"The expansion of the program guarantees more Modified racers will have the option to invest in the Extreme muffler system,” said IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder. “Racers in all corners of the country are suscepti¬ble to local noise restrictions and need quality options to address resident concerns and government re¬strictions."
