Fayette County Speedway Season Opener April 7th

Fayette County Speedway, located on the Fayette County Fairgrounds in Brownstown, Illinois will open the 2006 Season on Friday April 7th! The track is a high-banked, large quarter-mile dirt oval racing Friday nights, April through August. Regular night classes for 2006 include Fastrack Late Models, UMP Modifieds, IRCA Crate Modifieds, USSE Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, and Hornets.

The gates open at 5:00 pm and driver pill draw closes at 7:00 pm. Hot laps are scheduled for 7:00 pm, qualifying for the UMP Modifieds at 7:30, and racing immediately following qualifying.

Admission pricing for all REGULAR night shows in 2006 is:
Pit Pass: All Ages - $25 (Everyone entering pit area is required to purchase a pit pass; minors must have signed waiver on file).
Grandstand General Admission: Adult - $10; Ages 7-12 - $5; Ages 6 & Under - Free.

Notable events on the schedule for 2006 include the Wolfpack UMP Modified $1,000 to win show on May 12, the annual 2-day Special Show on Memorial Day Weekend (classes to be announced), and a $1,000 to win UMP Modified show on July 21.

For the UMP Late Model Fan, the UMP Summer Nationals tour is scheduled to stop at Fayette County Speedway on June 27. NASCAR driver Kenny Wallace is also scheduled to visit the speedway on June 27.
