Pure Street feature will be made up this Sat. July 19th.
It will start single file on lap 7 the cars that were on the track will be the only ones that can run the race. If you pulled off or were in the pits you cannot race the make-up feature.

On Sat. Aug. 2nd we will have the make-up feature for the Sprints & Multi's.

On Sat. Aug. 9th we will have the Modified make-up feature.

So if you are winning the feature and its rained out. You have to make it up after another full night of racing. So what happens if you break something and cant race the make up one????????????? I've seen features rained out after only 3 laps and payed there finished position. They completed 7 laps and how many laps were made while it was raining. More than they were raced !!! There was couple cars running on flats and others had other problems. Fuel isn't cheap.

Do you have a better solution? Would be happy to hear it.

How about calling it and paying there spots they were in. Most of the cars would of finished in that position anyway. If you waite till the end of the night to finish this feature how many of them might not make????? If you make them finish why not run after hot laps? That way if there is a problem they have time to repair there cars before the next feature. With the price of fuel and parts they have all ready spent I think it would be a good idea to call it done and pay them there spots!!! But thats my apinion

Well I think that idea kinda stinks, cause I paid to see a race. Then what would they do about the other classes that don't have any laps in? I would think maybe run the make-up feature after hot laps, that way they wouldn't have as much of a chance to tear anything up. JMO

But what if they tear up in that make up feature and then can't run their heat and feature on the make up night?

"I would think maybe run the make-up feature after hot laps, that way they wouldn't have as much of a chance to tear anything up."

I have no dog in this fight, but I'd agree with this approach. After all, the drivers in the makeup feature qualified to be in the feature being made up. Like Stacy said, to make them race all night, then run the makeup exposes them getting torn up BEFORE being able to run the feature they had already qualified for. Plus, any damage from the makeup feature has a better chance of being repaired, thus allowing the driver to compete in that night's racing if you run the makeup feature first. Also gives the drivers a bit of a break.

But what if they tear up in that make up feature and then can't run their heat and feature on the make up night?

Then they paid for a pit pass and can sit in the stands and watch. No reason to run a feature at the end of the night, just to turn around and run another feature. Run the feature right after hotlaps, then make the class that ran the makeup run last in the order to give them plenty of time to get the car ready.

Your the one thats suppost to know everything about racing. Ive seen where after so many laps they call a race complete after it starts raining and the other classes make up theres the next week. Usely if you breake in the heat and you get it fix you can fall in on the back of the feature if there ainte enough cars to make the show. You ask for suggestions. It seems to me every body that has been on here agrees to run after hot laps.

What really stinks is that the puresreets run the track in every night first and during rain delays. They pay for alot of fuel to run the track in and dont get a dime for gas in return. But the push trucks get people in free and get free gas from the track. Did you know that??? How much is racing fuel . ($6 to $7 dollars a gallon times 5 or 10. per night thats per car)

Actually, most of the pushtrucks belong to SFCR... Support classes have always had to run in the track(been there, done that), but usually the pushtrucks do too. Did they stop?

HEHEHE that is funny right there I don't care who you are.

Really my question wasn't because I didn't know the answer, my question was to provoke thought about the other side of the coin.

Here is the way I see it, no matter which way it is done someone is going to take it in the end. Out of all the ways to handle the deal, none of them will make everyone 100% happy.

The whole paying them where they left off stinks, from a fans point of view. I paid to see the race. But on the other hand I do see where u are coming from I know, gas ain't cheap! But the drivers know that also when they load up every week to come to the track.

i suggest running the make up feature as the first feature, after intermission, then go ahead and have those two classes run last that night. What's wrong with running the features right after hot laps is that you have 25 laps of a really heavy track that might even be a little greasy. That would be really hard on the motor and other equipment.

WELL HERE GOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I have been part of racing in this area for over 30 years,as a car owner, car sponsor, mechanic(shade tree)driver,fan,etc----My opinion is--- and there are so many that agree---the race WAS NOT half way--therefore it should be restarted from the beginning!!!!!!!this has been the rule for many many years-but as we all know st francois county makes their own rules! This is probably the reason in the decline in the car count and fan support.Take a look at the stands---half empty at times. They should never have started the race while it was sprinkling rain!!!!!!!NOW TO MAKE THIS STUPID CALL---I own a race car--I proudly sponsor 4 modifieds and 2 pure streets---I have also just purchased another---But my thaughts and opinion will go nowhere.Who makes the call??????has corey called and asked anyone?Once again ---maybe the track owner and manager should check what has been the rule for many years---THE RACE SHOULD BE A COMPLETE RESTART FROM THE BEGINNING>To make a decision to start it like they say is STUPID!!!!!!May be another way to get rid of fans and car owners and drivers.I will not hide behind a screen name-as many know I try to help anyone at the race track at any time--this is not to attack any one person or official-but lets be consistant in the rules and officiating. I agree with the Junkman! If the race is not half over it should be a complete restart. This is coming from a fans point of view. If I pay money to watch the races i want to see all of the cars on the track. There were only 7 laps and some of them were in rain.

The last two post are how the race should be completed and that is a complete restart. Not being half over the fans and the racers would like a restart. But as we all know Farmington has different rules than every other track in the state.

lets race

they made the right call. i think i had a chance to win it, and i,m glad i still get a chance. cory and crew made the right call. thank you guysfor giving 2nd-last a chance to win. #111 "the wolf"
