Alright to any of you vets out there who have made numerous trips, what advice do you have for us?

We have a nearby hotel room....
We have seats on those concrete slabs in turn 4 where you bring your own lawn chair...

Upgrade to a pit pass. I usually like going down during qualifying. You can get lots of pictures, see the team's preparing and still see the scoreboard to keep up to date.

If your camping....they usually have a trailer set up for showers...best 5 bucks I ever spent. Cell reception should be better with new cell tower. Definitely get a pit pass...worth every penny also.

Eldora is a fun place to go and see all the people but don't expect a lot of good racing. I have been to every Dream race and been going to the World since 1979.

Small coolers through the gate, plastic bottles only, no adult beverage in cooler, , they will probably look in your tote bag where you can get by with taking in chip, popcorn, etc.,etc. expect bathrooms to be busy!!!
When Tony first took over, he had porters in the restrooms to keep the toilet paper, towels and commodes ready for use, but in recent years the porters are not there in force. I've been to 18 World 100's;- a million dollar to win late model race; and a Kings Royal---- and yeh It's a fun place---you probably will enjoy your first visit a bunch!!----Oh yeh, I forgot--if you want a highball or a vodka tonic, Tony will sell you one in the main grandstand!!!----you'll see a lot of "boozing "going on, but everyone is having a good time,
The front straight get a bit dusty in the feature event , so get ready for that !!!!

On that Saturday evening... says hot laps start at 6p, are there usually a lot of people there say by around 4 just hangin out, partyin etc inside the track? ... or are most people just out tail gating hanging out

The Dream is a bit different from the World 100. There will be a good crowd, but no where near as packed as the World is.

Go through the concessions, get the big plastic cup, and hang on to it. You can use that at any Eldora event, and unless they changed it, it's free refill. And try the infamous Pizza Steak.

Racing is "unique" at Eldora. The heat races aren't typically very exciting. It's all about motor. Once the feature rolls around, though, you usually see some pretty good action. Be warned, though, Eldora is EXTREMELY dusty.

As for tailgating, you'll see some, but it's pretty much just a big party! Enjoy yourself!!

On Saturday, there will be people hanging around inside the track as well as a lot of tailgaters a couple hours before the races start. There are several shirt trailers & other vendor trailers to look at inside the gate. On Saturday, you will want to get there by 3:00 or so to get a decent spot in the main lot. The main lot is real easy access from the bleachers if you want to go in & buy stuff & then take it back to your car.

Be prepared for a weekend at the mecca of dirt late model racing. There is nowhere else quite like it. Been there several times & going this weekend. Cant wait!!

walk thru the t shirt and knick knack, row behind turns1 and 2 and 3 and4 also check out all the different concession stands like bowmans the ice cream vendor farter brown sandwich and watch the time
