Atlanta, GA - May 11, 2008 - Randy Scott from Franklin, Georgia who raced for at least five seasons with the O'Reilly United Sprint Car Series and crew-chiefed cars for his son Jeremy Scott at USCS races for over ten seasons passed away after suffering a heart attack in his home on Sunday night. Randy Scott was 60 years-old.

Scott owned and operated Scott's Plumbing Service headquartered in Franklin, Georgia. He was originally from Memphis, Tennessee. He and son, Jeremy raced as teamates for years in USCS competition, but over the last several years Randy Scott gave up his driving ambitions and concentrated on his son's efforts. Scott was well liked and was close friends with Randy Helton who also passed away on Sunday, March 30th with a massive coronary at home as well.

USCS President Pete Walton said," We certainly want to offer our prayers and condolences and our help in anyway to the Scott family at this time. Randy Scott and Jeremy Scott have always been a big part of sprint car racing in the area over the last decade. It has always been impressive to see them work so closely together both in their profession and while at the race track as a true Father and Son team in life."

Everyone on the United Sprint Car Series staff and the entire USCS racing community would like to offer our condolences and respects to the Scott family at this time.

Final arrangements for Randy Scott will be posted at www.uscsracing.com website as soon as made available.
