In a unique promotion, compliments of the Petersburg, Illinois Dairy Queen, EVERY spectator who attends the Sunday, July 27th Midwest Auto Racing Association (MARA) midget race at Belle-Clair Speedway will receive a FREE five-ounce DQ sundae if Mike Hess wins the night's feature race.

The Petersburg DQ, owned by Hess' father Bill, will honor the free sundae if son Mike is holding the first place trophy on that night.

"If Mike wins, after the races everyone is invited over to our trailer where I'll be handing out coupons good for one free sundae at our Petersburg store!" exclaimed the maverick entrepreneur/car owner.

Mike Hess has one Belle-Clair midget feature win to his credit, that coming last year during the annual fair race. So far this year, in the two midget features held at Belle-Clair, Hess has recorded second and third place finishes.

The July 27th MARA event at Belle-Clair is the Shannon Finley Memorial. Outlaw winged 600 c.c. micro sprints will round out the evening's program. The DQ promotion is sure to add even more excitement to the evening's auto racing program.

Pit gates open at 3:30. Grandstand gates open at 5:30. Hot laps at 6. The first race hits the track at 7 pm. Grandstand tickets are just $10.

Belle-Clair Speedway is a one-fifth mile high-banked clay oval located just east of St. Louis in Belleville, Illinois. For more information, contact race promoters Kenny Brown at 618-476-7526 or Brian Thompson at 618-473-9512. Or visit the race promoters' event web-site: www.bmsinco.com
