does anyone know how much race fuel and methanol or going to be this year
 
I overheard a fuel distributor at the Midwest Speed Expo say that the price of methanol had dropped considerably.
 
just was told that race fuel was going to be $8.00 a gallon and methanol was $3.50 just wanting to know if it went up that much
 
I would really doubt it if race fuel will be $8.00 a gallon. Last year during the really high gas prices race fuel was $6.00 a gallon at pevely and $6.50 a gallon at Belleville. Belleville did go up from $5.75 to $6.50 throughout the season when gas prices we really high. i don't for see $8.00 though. I am not sure what the methanol prices are though since i don't run that. When i bought one of my drums of fuel last year though it worked out to be roughly $5.20 a gallon. So if you can afford the initial cost getting a drum will save you money. The best price that i found for that was Wick's in Marine, IL. Hopefully prices will stay the same or drop some this season. Who knows though with this economy....:eek:
