They call the Lucas Oil Speedway the Diamond of Dirt Tracks and for 2008 it will host 18 Nationally Televised events for broadcast on ESPN2, SPEED CHANNEL, the Versus Network and MAV TV.
On Saturday and Sunday May 31st and June 1st this amazing dirt track will be transformed into an awesome off-road racing venue as we welcome back the Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing Tour.
"Last season, the WSORR ended their season with us here in Wheatland," said Kevin Greven, General Track Manager. "This year they kick-off their 2008 season in their only visit this season to the Midwest."
As a gesture of motor sports goodwill, Gateway International Raceway and the Lucas Oil Speedway want to give you straight-liners a wild off-road ride. If you have a ticket to any day of the O'Reilly NHRA Midwest Nationals, then you have a ticket to the E3 Spark Plugs Show-Me State Showdown for Sunday June 1st at the Lucas Oil Speedway.
"Being the first race of the season for the WSORR," added Greven, "you can bet all the best off-road racers in the Nation will be hand, and we want the Gateway fans to be there as well."
