In what could be one of the greatest upsets in NASCAR history, Brad Keselowski, in only his fifth NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start, took the win at Talladega Sunday. The NASCAR Nationwide Series regular, who drives for two-time Gateway International Raceway winner Dale Earnhardt Jr., in that series, earned the victory after 2007 NNS champion Carl Edwards got together with former GIR USAC winner Ryan Newman yards from the finish line. Keselowski, Earnhardt, and Newman finished 1-2-3 with two-time GIR winner Greg Biffle finishing seventh and last year's Missouri-Illinois Dodge Dealers 250 runner-up Joey Logano bringing home his first NSCS top-ten with a ninth-place effort. The Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series travel to Richmond International Raceway this weekend.

In the NASCAR Nationwide Series race on Saturday, former GIR NASCAR Camping World Truck Series polesitter David Ragan earned his first-ever NASCAR victory with a last-second pass of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Ryan Newman. Ragan, a Georgia native with friends and family in the St. Louis area, had nearly 200 starts in all three of the top NASCAR series before earning the dramatic win. Newman took the runner-up position driving for Kevin Harvick Inc., with Joey Logano finishing third, and Earnhardt finishing fifth. Other notables in the top-ten were three-time USAC champion Jason Leffler (sixth), Scott Lagasse Jr. (eighth), Sunday's Talladega winner Brad Keselowski (ninth), and Kyle Busch, who is making his return to Gateway International Raceway on July 18 (tenth).

It was a long, soggy weekend for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in Kansas, but after two days and several rain delays, it was 2007 GIR polesitter Mike Skinner visiting Victory Lane after Mother Nature finally succeeded in shutting down the race. Johnny Benson, the defending NCWTS champion and 2007 GIR Camping World 200 winner, was the runner-up, with rookie Brian Scott finishing third. The defending Camping World 200 winner, Ron Hornaday, finished fourth, while former ASA champion Johnny Sauter took home a ninth-place finish. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series returns to action May 15 for night racing at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Catch all the action on SPEED!

The NHRA Full Throttle Series returns to Gateway International Raceway this weekend for the O'Reilly NHRA Midwest Nationals and there are several storylines to follow: Will Ashley Force Hood get her first win at the home track of her husband's family as well as her St. Louis Auto Racing Fan Club Mechanic of the Year crew chief Ron Douglas?
