MADISON, Ill. – In an effort to show its support for our nation’s military, Gateway International Raceway and the NHRA are providing a 15 percent discount to active duty and retired servicemembers for this weekend’s AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals.
The program begins Tuesday morning and runs through Sunday. To take advantage of the discount, military members and retirees need to purchase the tickets at either the GIR ticket office through Thursday or at ticketing locations at the track during the event, showing a valid military ID card. The promotion is limited to ten tickets per servicemember.
“Now more than ever, we need to show our military that we appreciate and respect their efforts,” said Gateway International Raceway Vice President and General Manager Terry Harmeson. “This is our way of letting them know we are thinking of them and their contributions to this great country.”
The AAA Insurance NHRA Midwest Nationals run this Friday through Sunday with gates opening at 8 a.m. Friday and pre-race ceremonies beginning Sunday at 10 a.m. For the full schedule of events as well as a list of driver appearances in the area and Will Call directions, visit GatewayRaceway.com.
