Greetings from Columbia

I'm doing pretty good despite everything that has happened to me in the past couple of weeks. Special thanks to Dirtgirl and crew for visiting me last week, that really meant a lot. Sunday some guy with a beard and bad breathe came and visited. Terry, you have no idea how much your visit meant. It came at a time when I was really, really down. I'll be here at least a couple more weeks I'm told. By the way, my phone number here at my hospital room 573-771-9501. Being so far away from home it's made it tough for family and friends to make the trip, so as you can imagine my phone has been pretty busy. Thanks to everyone for the calls, they've meant a lot. Take care everyone..

Glad to hear

Glad to hear things are goin ok for ya Millsy, might have to get ahold of Bad Bob and bring some of his ladies up to cheer ya up, turn your hospital room into a Hooters or something. If ya need anything let us know, anyone would be more then willing to help

2 questions for ya...

Did dirtgirl bring you the soda I told her to get you?

Did Terry give you that big ol' smooch I told him to give you?

Miss you!!!!

Glad to hear you are doing well, Millsey. BTW, I think there is a conspiracy (with Mother nature's assistance) to delay opening night until you can be there! And, even if that were true, I'd be all for it. Take care and God bless.

You know what, axeman - you may be right on that conspiracy theory. I hadn't thought of it that way. I like your way of thinking.

Thank you kindly, racewidow. And thanks also for all the additional duties you have taken on during Millsey's recovery. I know he, and the rest of us, really appreciate it. BTW, is there a grassy knoll near the racetrack? LOL

Axeman you have no idea what all she has done... I can't thank her enough. Tracy I need you to call me also...

Please don't thank me. I'm doing it because I can, because I want to, because I adore Jeff, because he (and Terry) need me right now and because he'd do it for me if I needed the help.

racewidow, I won't tell you if I smooched him or not, but how did he know I had bad breath. Jeff, it was good to see you and glad you are on line again.

Jeff.. Everything going according to plan.. Marquitte says hi!!

According to plan???? He's been freakin' cross-dressing while you've been gone!!! Never thought I say this, but hurry up and come back, Millsey!! He's outta control!!

Sorry J, but I just didn't think there had been enough attention given to this little piece of information. Did happen to notice the name, you DO love my doggy, don't ya?! Think she misses you, too, but she won't admit it.

I talked to Jeff Mills Friday afternoon and he was up beat. They are moving him from east wing to west wing where them will be working on his knee. All his test are coming back looking good. can't wait for him to get back.

not racing,

jeff, so glad to hear things are better. don't worry, nobody is racing anytime soon. mother nature is playing her trump card every weekend. sooner or later it might dry up and get warmer.maybe holding off racing till you get home, god bless and hang in there... michael

I talked to Jeff after Terry did and he was a little shot down. They had given him all kinds of good news that afternoon just to come back and say that it really wasn't any difference. BUT the way I see it is - if it's not getting any better, but not any worse, at least it's not getting any worse, right? They've taken him off chemo and are discussing other meds to put him on for now.

They did move him and they're concentrating on his knee for the moment. He's also lost quite a bit of weight. I was telling him he'd be all nice and svelt by the time he gets back to us and he'll feel like a spring chicken. Watch out ladies, the new Jeff will be back in town!

Love ya, buddy! Get back to us soon!

hey Jeff!!!

This is Jeff's sister Tamara posting. Jeff has been moved from Columbia to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. The doctors are still focusing on the leukemia at this time. I know he really misses you guys. He has his lap-top but it is difficult for him to maneuver to use it. Help him keep his spirits up and send him a card or give him a call. If you plan to visit you may want to check first in case he is undergoing chemotherapy you may not be able to. I saw him last week in Columbia but now I'm back home in Georgia and worried about my brother.
