BROWNSTOWN, IN (September 24, 2011) – Greg Amick of Bloomington, IN recorded the biggest win of his career on Saturday Night at the Brownstown Speedway as he captured the 25-lap $1000 to win UMP Open Wheel Modified feature. Amick took the lead for good on lap seven and led the rest of the way. John DeMoss finished second followed by Ronnie Falloway, Nick Allen and Clint DeMoss.

Falloway would grab the lead at the start of the main event with John DeMoss and Amick, who started third holding that spot with a lap scored. Amick would then make his move for the lead as both he and Bryce Jewell moved into the top two spots on the second circuit.

Amick would lead two laps until Jewell was able to pass him on the fourth lap. In a hotly contested battle for the lead Jewell would remain in front for three laps when Amick was able to get around him to re-take the lead. Amick and Jewell then battled for the number one position for several laps until John DeMoss forged a challenge to the top two.

DeMoss then took over second from Jewell, but by this time Amick had built a good lead over the field. DeMoss tried to track down Amick in the final laps, but Amick held on to score the victory in the Greg and Jesse Amick owned Black Widow Race Car Chassis sponsored by BSB Manufacturing, K&S Roll-Off and Dasco Racing Supply.

Falloway would finish in the third spot with Allen coming from the 16th starting spot to take fourth just ahead of Clint DeMoss, who with his fifth place finish clinched the 2011 Modified Title at Brownstown.

Completing the top ten were Jewell, Derek Groomer, Devin Gilpin, Richie Lex and Jacoby Hines.
