FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- (July 11, 2003) Danny Haynes turned aside numerous challenges from Kenny Rumble and Mike Hammerle to take home the UMP Late Model feature win Friday night at the Fredericktown Raceway.

Haynes looked as if he might be in a bit of trouble when Rumble started working the outside of the track midway through the 25-lap feature and had pulled even with him several times, but was never able to complete the pass. But following a late caution flag, Rumble got loose and spun out dropping him to fifth place and placing Hammerle into the second spot.

The remaining six laps featured Hammerle trying to slip inside to take away the top spot, but Haynes would have nothing to do with it as he sped away with the victory, his first at the Fredericktown Raceway.

Hammerle settled for second place with Charlie Savage third, Mike Abney fourth and Rumble fifth. Abney won the heat race with Haynes second and Rumble third. Haynes won the dash with Abney second and Rumble third.
