Well, it sure is nice to see some of the reasons our team has boycotted Pevely come up in conversation...besides the non-payout...
1. The officials seemed to treat us as if we were just a joke show to get out of the way for the "big guys" At other tracks, we actually get to run our show as if it matters.
2. Most, not all, of the fans seemed to think that the wannabee show was an extended intermission. At other tracks, people actually watch, and sometimes even cheer. Heck, sometimes people even ask for autographs!
3. If people doubt that this class can be every bit as dangerous or exciting as the 'upper' classes, just ask some of the drivers who been through some amazing-looking wrecks. I've never seen a late-model, modified, sportsman, or bomber that could flip twice and still go on driving, but I've seen hornets do it.

ive been responding to your post and im not even sure who im talking with not that it would matter because i enjoy it. so who are ya and what car did u drive. I didnt race much last year but i drove the 26mv probe, and I rubbed a few people the wrong way, not meaning to but for the most part it was real fun running with u guys, well maybe since ill be out there all year we can hook up do some blocking and drafting off one another LOL

I do remember a probe or two but not for certain which one you have. here is a pic of mine taken aug. 8 at pevely. Car looked pretty good for about 20 minutes after this was taken. Rob Denny and my brother Gene tangled up and I slammed into them hard. After a little trip to jefferson memorial to get checked out, I was right back next week. This pic is my favorite. You got any of yours?

THAT WAS A GOOD LOOKING STANG AND YES IT REALLY FAST. MINE WAS THE RED PROBE I DIDNT BRING IT OUT TILL CLOSE TO THE END OF THE SEASON AND THEN I SOLD IT THE GUY THAT DROVE THE 188 ESCORT.

Yes I did get those pictures, thank you for leading me to them. This is the one I was after. A memorable night for me, I even kept my wristband. This is the trophy dash. Ran a close second in the feature, nearly made a sweep that night. I was so pumped up and shaking so hard I had a hard time getting out of the car for this shot. By the way did you get the e-mail I sent?
