Hirsch Farm Center Sponsors Full Weekly Racing Program

West Plains, MO Hirsch Farm Center, with locations in West Plains and Thayer, MO, sponsored the full weekly racing program at West Plains Motor Speedway, May 12. The pre-Mother's Day program included doorprizes for a number of mothers in the crowd, including one who travelled from California and one from Florida, besides one who had eight children.

A local favorite, Brandon Ball of West Plains, won the IMCA Modified feature making it a return appearance on Victory Lane this season. Coming in second was Carmon Vincent of Moody, MO, followed by Chris Piper of West Plains, Ben Ledgerwood of Birch Tree, MO, Bill Adams of West Plains, Richard Smith of Williford, AR, Matt Barry of West Plains, Fred Scarbrough of Koshkonong, MO, and Carl Murphy of Caulfield, MO, with Jerry Croney of West Plains, rounding out the top ten.

Balance of the Modified field included Joey Smith of Pomona, MO, John McCrackin of Peace Valley, MO, Jason Brigman and Calvin Tribble, both of West Plains, Austin Smith of Mammoth Spring, AR, Anthony Carnal of Cabool, MO, David Mallonee of West Plains, Bobby Skinner of Moody, Brian Judd of Caulfield, Kevin Collins of West Plains, Lonnie Judd of Caulfield, and Denny Dennison of West Plains.

Stan Ellison won the Super Stock feature again this week, but he was pressured hard to the finish by Bobby Bryant, they're both from West Plains. Coming in third and also giving Ellison a run was Derald Kelly of Birch Tree, followed by Jeff North of Rogersville, MO, Dee Kelly of Birch Tree, Bill Dixon of Thayer, Brandon Ball and Andy Collins, both of West Plains, Clint Seamans of Imboden, Herman Kelly of Birch Tree, Doyle Frost of Alton, MO and Chris Ratterree of Mtn. Grove, MO.

The Hobby Stock feature winner was Bobby Bryant of West Plains, with Rick Cooper of Thornfield taking second followed by Dexter Frost of West Plains, Shane Hitt of Birch Tree, Kevin Collins and Chuck Russell, both of West Plains, Wayne Degase of Squires, MO, Brock Frost of Birch Tree, Dean Smith of Mammoth Spring, AR, Randy Dennison of West Plains, Korey Whitelock of Alton, and Todd Scott of Hardy, AR.

Bill Harden of West Plains won the Cruiser feature this week, with Clifford Collins, II, taking second followed by John Stiner, they're both from West Plains, then came Chadney Holder and Sissy Ratliff Seaman both of Imboden, Clifford Collins, Rhonda Gunter and Mark Doiron, all of West Plains.

Winner fo the Youth Hobby Stock feature this week was Ben Piper of West Plains, followed by Austin White of Willow Springs, William Piper of Birch Tree, and Clayton Gunter of West Plains.

Next week will be the Springfield Brake Co., sponsored weekly points program with all classes running. Gates will open at 5 p.m., hotlaps at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7 p.m.

This will be the last event before the 15th Annual O'Reilly Show-Me 100 kicks off on Thursday, May 24, with the Practice Night along with the traditional BBQ Dinner with the drivers and crews. Followed on Friday night by the time trials, and heats for the super late models combined with the New Vision Graphics full modified program. Saturday night will will be the Manufacturers Race, Past Champions Race sponsored by Bob & Barb Miller, the Young Oil Corp. Last Chance Races and the 100-lap feature along with the New Vision Graphics full modified show.
