Holley offers options for IMCA award recipients

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (March 1) – New engine options in place for 2011 have resulted in new options for IMCA drivers earn¬ing contingency awards from Holley Performance.
The top three eligible drivers in each IMCA Sunoco Stock Car region will receive 350 or 500 cfm carburetors from the Bowling Green, Ky., manufacturer. Fourth and fifth place drivers receive $100 in cash or product certificates while sixth through 10th place finishers get $50.
National point standings for Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods and Smiley’s Racing Chassis Southern SportMods determine claim engine recipi¬ents of 500 cfm carburetors or crate engine recipients of 650 cfm carburetors. Runners-up get $175 in cash or cer¬tificates, with $125 for third and $50 for both fourth and fifth regardless what type powerplant they competed with.
Stock Car drivers can run an unlimited cubic inch engine with a 350 Holley or a limited cubic engine with a 500 Hol¬ley beginning this season. The crate engine option that has been in place for Northern SportMods is new for Southern SportMods in 2011.
"We are going to be tracking which drivers are participating with which engine and carburetor combination this season and we need to reward those drivers with the appropriate prize package at season's end,” IMCA Marketing Director Kevin Yoder said. “Holley continues to be the industry leader and will give away nearly two dozen carburetors to IMCA racers by season's end."
Top eligible drivers in each of the five Modified regions receive 750 cfm gas or alcohol HP carburetors. Cash or prod¬uct certificates for $350, $250, $100 and $100 go to the next four drivers.
Both the national Late Model rookie of the year and the Deery Brothers Summer Series rookie of the year earn 4150 series gas carburetors.
Drivers in all five divisions must compete with Holley-manufactured carburetors to be eligible and proof of purchase may be required.
Modified, Stock Car and SportMod drivers must complete and return a sign-up form to the IMCA home office by Aug. 1. Stock Car drivers are also required to display two Holley decals on their race cars.
