Springfield, IL (Tuesday October 16, 2012)- We are pleased to announce the return of Hoosier Racing Tire as the tire of choice for the Midwest Open Wheel Association in 2013 at all of their sanctioned events. The group will utilize Hoosiers on all 4 wheel position beginning in 2013.

Terry Young, General Manager for Hoosier Tire Midwest and Scott Fernandez, Sprint Car Product Manager, were both extremely pleased to hear the news,” The Midwest Open Wheel Association has been a leader in sprint car racing in the Midwest since their inception and we are very pleased to be able to extend our relationship with the traveling sprint series stated Young.
Midwest Open Wheel Association President, Jeremy Standridge stated that "MOWA is excited about extending our relationship with Hoosier Tire for the foreseeable future. Not only is Hoosier committed to making an outstanding tire, they also are committed to working together to keep racing affordable for the average team. The result of this agreement is that we will be able to have a common tire with other Midwest tracks and series at a significantly lower retail cost than before. This will result in even stronger car counts and great racing for our fans.

Mike, Terry, Scott and the rest of the people at Hoosier Tire Midwest have been a part of the MOWA family from the start of our series and the ties between them and many of our members go back for generations. We are proud to be able to continue that relationship in 2013 and well into the future and are excited that we will continue to be involved with an outstanding organization like Hoosier Tire."

Terry, has there been any news on what tires the WoO Sprints are going to go with next year?

Jimmy - Terry might not be able to answer that question publicly... I don't think there has been a final decision in that regard, although I would expect an announcement before too terribly long by just looking at the calendar and the fact they typically start their season in February.

Jimmy,
Talk on Hoseheads is American Racers for the outlaws next year. Knoxville just signed a multi year deal with Hoosier. We are still waiting officially for the Outlaws and PA tracks to make a decision.
