I am going to be racing at hornet a Tri City this year. It is a 91 Cavalier. I was wondering who else will be racing in this class at Tri City or anywhere else. And if you have pics. put them on. I will post a pic of mine as soon as I can. Jake
 
A Cavalier?

I thought a Cavalier was considered a mid-sized car. Isn't that too big for the Hornets/Wannabeez?
 
I understand what you are saying, but there are some cars/trucks that also fit into our RAMS wheelbase guidelines that are not permitted because they are considered a midsized car/truck. For instance a Camaro and even some of the Thunderbirds. That's why I was asking about the Cavalier. I'm just learning about the Hornets/Wannabeez so whenever there is a gray area I like to address it. You might want to check though. We don't even consider Cavaliers also because we don't allow front wheel drive vehicles.
 
in the rules it says any stock single cam 4-cylinder car with wheelbase of 104". I believe we had a camaro out there two years ago that raced but for some reason he didn't stay long. Me, my dad, and brother-in-law will be racing out there this year. I use to watch my dad race at St. Charles when I was younger so it will be fun to beable to race with him. But I probely won't see to much of him if hes always behind me:D
 
I REMEMBER THAT CAMARO THAT THEY RACED THE FIRST YEAR FOR THE HORNETS!!!HE WAS OUT OF MARYVILLE AND I DRIVE BY IT EVERY DAY AND LIKE YOU SAY HE DIDN'T RACE IT TO MANY NIGHTS BECAUSE IT DIDN'T MOVE MUCH AND IT STAYED IN GOOD SHAPE!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I'll be there, all things being well. I run a Escort GT, it aint fast or pretty, but I do have fun with it. And, since Millsey hasnt mentioned it, he is promoting a big show down at Fredericktown on May 4th, the Azalea Feast, so lets all head on down there on a sunny sunday and eat azalea's...... Oh, and there is hornet/wannabee racing too.... and a parade..... and beer......lots and lots of beer, right Millsey????? lol:p ;) :D
