How many classes is Danville running tomorrow/is it worth the 3 1/2 drive

Never been there, since Pevely is a no go thinking of going there. Please advise.

From their website, here's the class lineup for tonight:

The Turbines, Inc. Sprints,
The Toyota of Danville Modifieds
The Wright Motor Company Late Models
The Vermilionchevrolet.com Street Stocks
and the
Route 1 Auto Repair Pure Stocks

I believe the Late Models are crates. The sprints are non-wing.

I've been to VCS twice, and really liked the track.

?about danville

I called and the recording didn't say anything about racing tonight nor does there schedule. May have been on the wrong web site, what the web site for Danville?

What size track is Danville can't find anything on the website?

I'd call it either a "big" 1/4 mile, or a "small" 1/3 mile. With no wall in turns one and two, and just water barrels in three and four, it kind of reminds me of a cross between the old Tri City 1/4 mile, and Bloomington Speedway in Indiana.

They are running a pump now to get the water off the track and will not stop til it is cleared...

Sunday they are running the Late Model Summer Nationals,
and the modified and street stock will earn UMP pts for sunday...

grandstand cost is $20..

and there will be fireworks....

hope to see you there....

the most popular gear I hear is a 6:33.....

Along with UMP Summer National Late Models there will be UMP Modifieds and Street Stocks.....

There will also be a huge fireworks display and a LIVE band from 4-6.....

AS CJ mentioned the track pumps are running and will run all night if needed with the watchful eyes of the track crew in attendance......The track surface was actually in pretty good shape for Saturday night, it just wouldnt stop raining so the Track prep crew could go to work.....

Hope to see you all there.....The track should be VERY fast and the Cars and Stars of the UMP Summer National Late Models should put on one whale of a show......
