BREAKING NEWS: Unilli Lightning Series and Midwest Motorsports Marketing and Promotions have finished up a deal that brings 3 huge karting events to 3 premier dirt tracks in the Midwest.
The series which saw a great inaugural season last year will be bigger and better in 2014. Founders of the series Bruce Dulgar and Ron Powell went hard to work after the 2013 season ended and came up with a plan to make 2014 a blockbuster year. The series will be ran by Midwest Motorsports Marketing and Promotions. The tracks chosen for this years series include "The Worlds Fastest 1/5th Mile" Macon Speedway, HBR Raceway in Vienna, Illinois, and the highly anticipated event at Paducah International Raceway.
The facilities are not the only enhancement to the series, the classes and purses received a major boost as well. This years featured classes will be Adult Pro Clone which will race for $2500.00 to win, $1000.00 for second, $500.00 for third, and $250.00 for fourth and fifth. Next is Adult Clone Heavy (400) which will pay $1000.00 to win $250.00 for second and third place, and fourth and fifth will receive $100.00. Also Adult Clone Med (360) will be racing for $1500.00 to win, $500.00 for second and third place, fourth and fifth will receive $250.00. Jr1 and Jr3 Pro Clone will be racing for a $500.00 purse and a Unilli Jacket. All above classes will be under a Unilli Tire rule with a no kart minimum.
