Farmington, MO (June 16, 2007) -- Jimmy Hurley, Springfield, IL, made it to Victory Lane Saturday evening by winning the Second Annual “410” Summer Nationals for Sprint cars.

At the drop of the green, Hurley got the jump on Friday’s winner, Joey Montgomery, Fredericktown , MO and headed for the next county. Quickly building the advantage over the competition and never looking back in the 30-lap event. The event was brought to a slow pace by a series of cautions Robbie Standridge for a spin. Bob Thoman and Joey Moughan (rolled his car earlier in the evening) as they tangled in the corner. Tyler Thompson’s spinning car and the dreaded debris cautions were the others.

On each of the restarts Hurley would pull away at will. As the race went on Jerrod Hull methodically worked his way up in the field and at the end was mounting a challenge for the win. However the laps ran out and he settled for second. Third place goes to Tim Crawley, Benton , AR. He was driving the Mike Ward entry. Finishing fourth was A J Bruns and Friday nights winner Joey Montgomery placed fifth.

Hurley told the crowd in Victory Circle . This is one we wanted and the other being the Queen’s Royale at the end of the season.

Modifieds were in action for the second night. Racing from Fridays show picked up where it left off. Only one exception,.. different winner. Kasey Nations brought his car home from the 10 starting spot for the win.

During this close action no one payed attention to Nations as he was climbing through

the field to the top. Cautions for spinning cars would slow the race for 4 times in the 15 lap event.
