Hurley Wins Back-To-Back Sprint Features at SFCR

FARMINGTON, Mo. -- (July 22, 2006) Jimmy Hurley of Springfield, Ill. won his second consecutive sprint car feature at the St. Francois County Raceway (SFCR) Saturday night. Tommy Worley Jr. of Farmington settled for second place with Robbie Standridge third, Joey Montgomery fourth and Timmy Montgomery fifth. They were followed by A.J. Bruns, Steve Short, Alex Shanks, Tommy Rockwell and Tom Dickerman.
Tim Montgomery won the first heat race with Hurley second and Shanks third. Joey Montgomery won the second heat with Short second and Adams third. Rockwell won the third heat with Standridge second and Bruns third. Tim Montgomery won the trophy dash with Hurley second and Joey Montgomery third. Wade Seiler won the "B" main with Greg Burns second and Danny Long third.
Matt Eaton of Park Hills won his first Modified class feature Saturday night with Chris Boyd second, Mike Francis third, Jeremy Greenwalt fourth and Doug DeClue fifth. They were followed by Leo Kieffer, Tommy Worley Sr., Shannon Blair, Kenny Kennedy and Billy Smith.
Worley Sr. won the first heat race with Greenwalt second and Tom Vogt third. Dave Shepard won the second heat with Eaton second and Brent Thompson third.
In the Pure Street feature, Chris Boyd of Park Hills was the winner with Bill Skaggs second, Josh DeSpain third, Tommy Worley Sr. fourth and Mike Abney fifth. They were followed by Brian Henson, Mike Savage, Brian Blair, Keith Kennon and Charlie Savage.
DeSpain won the first heat race with Charlie Savage second and Kennon third. Skaggs won the second heat with Paul Warren second and Shaun Mackley third. Boyd won the third heat with Jason Brewington second and Abney third.
Due to an electrical failure, the 600cc Multi feature was postponed and will be made up on August 5th.
